A Little Bit Agricultural is a video series that wants to explore the innovations, challenges, opportunities, and people of Australian agriculture.

While having our own entertaining adventure we want to educate and inform the general public about how food and fiber is grown, where it comes from and the many ways in which Aussie ag is rising to the challenge of a changing climate, market insecurity, shifting consumer demands, and the adoption of technology.

Who are we?

Andrew Hart

Andrew Hart is a fisherman who has entertained audiences for 20 years with his show Hook, Line and Sinker.

After a few beers with Oscar at a pub on Tassie’s east coast, Andrew decided to find his land legs and explore Australia’s farming sector.

He doesn’t know much about farming, but in his uniquely clumsy way, he’ll learn.

Oscar Giudici

Oscar studied agricultural science in Tasmania and has worked in horticultural agronomy, farm management, and Irrigation. He loves adventure motorcycle travel and wants to combine the two to explore the shifting landscape of modern farming.

Oscar realized that people outside of agriculture frequently did not know what agronomy was, despite the fact that it is a critically important profession. It is also a profession which is an applied science, drawing on biology, botany, entomology, soil science, geology, chemistry, bio-chemistry, genetics, animal science, plant pathology, microbiology, mycology and much more!
Oscar reckons it should be one of the most attractive tertiary science degrees on offer, and yet, due to perceptions, it struggles to draw student numbers.

Therefore, he decided that he was going to jump on a bike, explore the county, learn as much as he can, and share it with everyone.

How does ‘A Little Bit Agricultural work?’

Entertainment, education and inspiration!

‘A Little Bit Agricultural’ aspires to be a long term entertaining and educational video series that looks at interesting Ag stories all over the country to engage people with where their food comes from and to encourage people to study and work in the agricultural sector.
